Providence College Hockey Team Takes the Plunge

Feb 5, 2013 8:34:58 AM / by SwimEx Blog

Providence College Hockey Team (the Friars) is feeling the heat, and cold, with the installation of a pair of SwimEx hot and cold plunge tanks. The Friars will be able to use the tanks in their newly renovated Schneider Arena (check it out!) which is now now one of the finest on-campus facilities in the country.

The cold plunge pool’s chiller system keeps the water temperatures at a therapeutic 50 degrees fahrenheit (10°c) to help control joint inflammation and enhance muscle recovery. The hot plunge pool/spa's system keeps the water at temperatures up to 104-degrees fahrenheit (40°c) to help with muscle recovery. The modular design and size of these hot and cold plunge pools provides the ultimate in facility design flexibility and is ideal for locker rooms, athletic training centers or fitness facilities.
